One of two videos premiered on SoundPedro 2021.
Two channel “stereo” contact microphone inspired by Michael Rosenstein , clipped to either end of a piece of watercolor paper, and allowed to disappear under the falling snow. The thick paper did not get soaked by the snow, even as I painted on it with this beautiful watercolor set.
The recording came out great - the wind chimes can even be heard through the contact mics, which I did not expect.
I've always wanted to make a coffee table book of jazz album covers that feature exclamation points!!!!!!!
